Is Fish Low in Histamine?
Yes these are frozen blocks of organic salmon.
I'm so excited to share with you that I successfully reintroduced frozen fish a few months ago. I tolerate it just fine.
It wasn't always that way - I've been very careful reintroducing.
Fish is normally high in histamine.
If the fish is caught and frozen immediately, (there are companies that provide this for people like us), that might be better. But you’ll find most fish appears on histamine-banned lists.
There are certain fish that have lower histamine levels than others. But for most people, it seems sadly fish and histamine intolerance don’t often go together. But let me know how you find fish.
Most fresh organic, pasture-raised meats seem to be okay, and you may find this is a better source of protein than fish.
But for me - frozen fish (from Big Fish in the UK) is okay.
