How I Discovered the Low Histamine Diet
Over the past decade I’ve been lucky enough to meet some of the world’ most famous and celebrated experts in the world of health, diet and wellness.
They all told me the same thing; while there are a number of rules that tend to work for most people, there is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ perfect diet for everyone.
We are all unique and have to find our own thing that suits us best. I started to explore all different diets and tried a huge number. I went;
- gluten free
- dairy free
- nut free
- keto
- paleo
- low oxalate
- low lectin
- and more (lots more - I ate lots of the food in this pic, not all of which suited me!)
Don’t judge me here. Okay, you’re already judging me. Oh well. All of them had certain advantages and benefits. For example, I enjoyed Paleo. Keto was fun but I lost too much weight. And gluten-free was a good one, in fact I’m still gluten-free now.
But none of these diets seemed to fully resolve my health issues.
The one diet left on my list was the diet I’d heard about all those years before. Low Histamine. What the hell was that? I dimly remembered Ben Lynch talking about the low histamine diet years earlier at the biohacking conference in LA.
Years later, here I am.
