Histamine Intolerance: When Your Body Throws a Big Party
Picture your body as a house hosting a party where histamine is represented by the guests (bear with me here!)
In a healthy scenario, a moderate number of guests (just the right amount of histamine) ensures the party is enjoyable and functions well.
However, imagine if too many guests suddenly flood in, overcrowding the house. This is akin to an excess of histamine in your body, where the balance is disrupted and things start to go sideways.
The music gets too loud, conversations turn into shouting matches, and the once-organized buffet is chaotic. The party (your body) gets out of control, and things start to go wrong.
That's what's going on when you suffer from histamine intolerance. Some of us have an out-of-control party raging in our bodies, and it needs someone to come in and turn the music off!
(I may or may not be writing a histamine intolerance book and testing this metaphor out here, so let me know any improvements lol)
